Hi all members in Rotaract Club!

Floristry is a form of art. Its beauty brief but bound to impress. Using only the freshest materials, simple cut flowers and leaves can be woven into a work of art. With its many styles of arrangement, the secret to success lies with passion, patience and a sense of beauty. However, this workshop will only provide the fundamentals and basics of floristry. There will be a brief introduction to the subject matter, the various organizations involved in/with this art and a few species of common flowers will be mentioned.
During the workshop, students will be showed how to make the arrangements in groups then divided to tend to their individual ones. So every student could experience this art. Student participating in this workshop will attain the skills and the ‘eyes’ for beauty. They will learn the various techniques and different styles of arrangement. Once they have mastered this art, the skill is for life. Though it can also be a hobby, but students are able to go beyond that. They can further enhance their skill by pursuing an advance level of floristry in selected institutions or organizations and even start a business later. Floristry is a wonderful career for those who have the passion and patience for it.

Hi all members in Rotaract Club!

There is an upcoming community service event!

REAR- Rotaract environmental amazing race for children from Chen Su Lan Methodist Children’s Home.

In this event, it is hoped to give our members a chance to know more about the needs of the children by befriending them through the activities conducted on the day. Considerations have been taken in providing an educational yet fun experience for the children at the centre. Hence, the activities conducted on the day will meet the criteria of educating the children on environmental issues and the reflection on the children’ part on how they could help to protect the environment. The date of the activity has been also chosen with care to be during the children’s school holiday as well as the term break of the members. This is to allow the children as well as members to enjoy a day out of their usual comfort zone.
