NVPC Talk on Volunteerism

Hi fellow Rotaractors,

There will be a talk on volunteering by an experienced speaker from the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC). A very inspiring talk set to change your point of view regarding volunteering and another talk on future collaborations between Rotaract Club and NVPC in the upcoming national programme called SG Cares. - An overview of the local volunteering scene.

- Diversity - Volunteerism doesn’t stop at social service...think creatively...nature conservation, performing art (Chingay), animal rights and protection, etc.
- What is SG Cares and how you can help as volunteer leaders

Updates on CCA Points

Hi everyone,

Good news~!!! All the events have been keyed into the CCA point system already. Please check your NPAL to see whether any of events have been left out.

If there's any problem, please send your name, student number and which event has not been keyed into your account. You'll need to provide evidence that you've attended that event too. [At least two people who can verify that you've attended that event.]

Singapore Cancer Society Colorectal Month

Hi fellow Rotaractors,

The Singapore Cancer Society will be conducting an island wide Colorectal Month awareness in March 2009. They are targeting to distribute at least 20,000 FREE FOBT kits and would need volunteers to distribute the FOBT kits on the following dates:

Ø 7th March (10am to 10pm) @ Tiong Bahru Plaza - 2 volunteers
Ø 16th to 20th March (8.30am to 12.30pm) @18 polyclinics -36 volunteers* need urgently
Ø 21st March (11am to 6pm) @ Tampines Mall - 2 volunteers
Ø 22th March (11am to 6pm) @ Tampines Mall - 2 volunteers

If you are interested to help out in this event, please fill up the form that has been sent to you and send the application form to evelyn_ng@singaporecancersociety.org.sg. You'll receive a confirmation e-mail from her.

In order to get your CCA points, you are required to forward the confirmation e-mail to cca_rotaract@np.edu.sg and attend the day(s) that you have signed up for. Attendance will be noted on the day itself so it is important that you attend.
