Knows what SPCA stands for? Want to know more about SPCA? Join us on a tour to the kingdom of cats, dogs & other animals, get to know them better and how we can help these animals that have no homes. Below are the details!

Venue: Socity for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA)
Date: Tuesday, 16th June 09
Time: 9am to 12pm
Gathering Location: Ngee Ann Atrium @ 9am SHARP
Number of Placements: 25 ONLY

ROTARACT BBQ CUM POTLUCK!
This is a great opportunity to interact and have fun together! There will be lots of food and games too!

Venue: Pasir Ris Park
Date: Wednesday, 24th June 09
Time: Evening (6pm till 10 pm)
Price: $2

Note: Since this is a bbq cum potluck, you guys will have to bring some food (i.e. snacks, fishballs, hotdogs) which are essential for 10 members) to share with the other members.

There are LIMITED VACANIES for both events so it will be based on first come, first serve basis!

(Rotaract) Club Meeting Update‏

Dear Rotarators,

Firstly, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused and for spamming your mailboxes. As most members are free only after 6pm, I would like to move the meeting time to 6pm-7pm instead. You can grab a light snack from Makan Place to the meeting, though no heavy meals please.

Basically, we just want to know your opinion and concerns regarding Rotaract Club and also to find out what kind of activities you wish to participate. This is our first ever club meeting, and I do hope most of you can be part of it. There is no need for any kind of note taking, though feel free to question- this is the time to ask and comment and give feedback(negative or positive).

Wellness Programme@Macpherson Anniversary Celebration

Hi everyone,

In collaboration with the Macpherson Community Centre, there will be planned activities for the Wellness Programme@Macpherson Anniversary Celebration which includes health screening, stage demonstrations and hands on activities for the elderly!!! 50 volunteers would be needed for this event.

The job scope includes:
-ushering
-registraton
*Briefing for your job scope will be done on the day itself.

Details of the event are as follows:
Date: 31st May 2009 (Sunday)
Time: 6.30am - 2pm (meet at 6.30am SHARP at Macpherson CC)
Venue: Macpherson Community Centre
Attire: Shirt, jeans and shoes (no slippers and bermudas allowed as MP for Macpherson will be present)
Packet brunch/lunch will be provided

Rotaract Club Shirt Fee & Membership Fee‏

Hi fellow Rotaract members,

Welcome to Rotaract club! As all of you members known, all of you has to pay an annual Rotaract member fee of $5. This fee is for planning our club future events which involves logistics, etc. You can now pay us the $5 membership fee and $10 Rotaract Club shirt fee. These are the time slots whereby you can meet Vivien or Sharon.

Volunteerism: Activities for youth that have no-life?

Hi everyone,

Do you wish to volunteer yet weary of the stares that people give? Or faced the dilemma of volunteering and afraid that people will say that you have no-life? Do you know what it takes to be a volunteer? What it means to be a volunteer? Why people volunteer? And what volunteerism is all about?

The Rotaract Club of Ngee Ann Polytechnic has organised a forum on "Volunteerism: Activities for youth that have no-life?" . The invited speakers for this forum are Dr. Lam Pin Min, Member of Parliament for Ang Mo Kio GRC, Mr. Alfie Othman, Chairman for Pertapis Children Home and Mrs. Joyce Tang, Course Manager for Business and Social Enterprise N gee Ann Polytechnic. This forum serves as a platform for you to listen what others have to say and at the same time allows you to voice out your opinion. And together we share, the more we learn from one another .

So have an opinion, come down and join us. You will never know what you will learn until you come.
